Dr. Schmidt moved to the Berkshires and joined Dr. Sandrew's practice in June 2011. Originally from Avon, CT, he received his bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, specifically cell and tissue engineering, with honors from the University of Rochester in 2004. From there, he returned to Connecticut, where he earned his dental training from the University of Connecticut in 2008. Dr. Schmidt continued his education by again returning to Rochester. At the University of Rochester Eastman Institute of Oral Health, he received his Certificate in Periodontology and Dental Implants. Dr. Schmidt is a board-certified practitioner. Through all of this training, he has had the support of his wife, Jackie, and three children.

Beautiful office space, friendly, helpful staff. Short wait time and a Dr. who actually listened to my very long history came up with a plan of action and is implementing it in 4 days!!!It's 4 days later...my appointment was for 7:20AM! Was worried Dr. Eric Schmidt would be as groggy as me but he wasn't. The procedure, which I've had before, took only 45 minutes, with my last DDS it was 2 hours. Never have I witnessed such efficiency with a DDS. He and his staff operated like a 'well oiled machine'. They explained everything I can expect next with clarity and humor-which I appreciate. Definitely a keeper.
Dr Schmidt has enormous skills, humor and intelligence. He has put together an extremely well run practice with terrific staff. I am grateful to the whole team.
